Some of my made to order pieces are now available in a range of 36 shades! Perfect if you want a pin to match a wedding colour pallet, or even a set of pins for the whole groom party. Click the pictures on the right to find out more about each design.
There is a glory in browsing crafty things, touching fabric samples, and also in the human contact you get from shopping in real bricks and mortar shops. I say this because over the past two days, Nottingham's excellent The Bead Shophave proven themselves helpful, cheerful and very willing to go the extra mile!
I like to get some craft things online*, either because I can't find a real world supplier, or I need something in bulk and it's cheaper, but going into a shop allows me to know exactly what I am buying, get instant answers about stock availability, plus discover alternatives, get advice on using items... And of course, I can browse and pick up things I never thought of, as they catch my eye. ;)
I recently spent a week tootling around London, Brussels and Amsterdam, taking in some top class museums and hidden gems along the way. I love time spent like this, as you see things from across all eras and areas, and can pick up ideas for design, colours, finishes and much more.
Discover some of the highlights, like this li' animal chap, in the gallery below.
Blimey crikey... Things are a bit rum here at the moment, so I may take a few days longer than usual to complete commissions or pop orders in the post. Be assured I'll let you know of any delays, so you can decide!
A bit of a diversion, just a moment, to let you know that today is #WorldCancerDay. At the moment, my creative, expressive, fantastic mum is in a hospice, as cancer takes over her lungs, and she has a vaguely defined 'weeks' left to live.
As an artist, she has always encouraged my creativity, something you should never underestimate in the development of a child or young person. Last year she joined in the Gathering of Creative People art exhibition I ran. In a few weeks, she will leave behind a lot of memories, and some fantastic paintings.
Today I've signed up to Macmillan's Ben Nevis Night Hiking Challenge. Yup, up and down the tallest mountain in the UK - in the dark. If you'd like to donate, even only £1, the link is below.
