I'm offering an early bird bonus in November, as I get busy with a lot of sales in December, so want to reward the folks who buy early and help alleviate my workload!
Any orders over £5 in November will qualify for free shipping. Order directly from me, or if you purchase on Etsy, use the code ONTHEWING when you checkout. Your items will come lovingly wrapped in recycled brown paper and sparkling black wool, so you'll also save time as there's no need to wrap for Christmas!

So of late you'll have probably heard lots about how spending money in your local community benefits more people, as small local businesses are then more likely to spend money with other local businesses, and it boosts your local economy, directly helps more folks etc...
It's not always an easy thing to do though, as the weekly shop is undeniably lazily simpler done in one shop. So here's a thought, you know your staples, and where you like to easily buy them from - so how about re-thinking your treats? It need not be more expensive, as even if the same money gets a smaller serving, you darn know it'll be a fresher, tastier, and more satisfying one.
So Derby is putting a big effort into it's Cathedral Quarter, fostering the existing hub of live music, performances, independent outlets, creativity and small enterprises, with Furthest From The Sea as the organisers behind a lot of the events. And wow, colour me impressed!
I was selling at the monthly Cathedral Quarter Arts and Craft Fayre in October, and found a fun and welcoming group of folks. The fayre is every third Saturday from March to December, and there's a great flow of public, varied stalls, and the number of stalls is growing - they were buying extra marquees the week before the event! We were also treated to live music from Knickerbocker Glorious, which offers musicians, comedians, poets, dancers... a chance to perform in public and reach a new audience.
A big thanks is due to Clockwork Prism, who were taking promotional photos, and when I asked if I could get copies to use, the lovely Neil not only said yes, he also took some snaps of me on a work in progress haircomb. Drop by if you're near Derby, or add this bustling and creative city onto your to-do list, as it's an undervalued gem and worthy of a good explore beyond it's large zombie-infested shopping centre.
