I have spend June having fun on instagram with Joanna of Adventures and Tea Parties, as she set up a challenge with the hashtag #ColourMyEveryDay, and there were 30 prompts for photos. (What's one of these challenge things, and why should yo do one? Learn more here!) It's been lovely to see so much colour in my feed, I've found some new folks to follow, and it's helped me look anew at the world around me. A good challenge should make you think a bit!  Taking the images out of my Instagram feed has been interesting for me - seeing them all together I seem to have a bit of a thing for green and blue, with side order of yellow!  It's been busy times, so I'm taking a break for a week and a bit and going incommunicado!
If you have a super urgent need for a ready made item on the 28th or 29th, I may be able to help you, but otherwise, I'll not be responding to messages, I'll be sipping cold drinks and reading, reading, reading... Posting an Instagram photo every day, based on someone else’s suggestions? That may sound like a chore, but Instagram challenges are well worth trying out! Instagram challenges are usually run over a month, with an overarching topic, and a prompt each day – you post a photo using the challenge specific hashtag, relating to the topic and daily prompt. Good challenge setters usually provide a downloadable sheet, so you can plan and jot down ideas against the daily prompts, or you can wing it on a daily basis! Alongside posting images to meet the topic and prompts, you’re encouraged to look at what else people are sharing under the challenge hashtag. As I write this, I’m a few days into Joanna Payne’s #colourmyeveryday challenge, and really enjoying it! So how do you benefit from joining an Instagram challenge?  |
