Decide on your own Best 9 of 2019! Don't let the algorithms decide for you.

There's now a modern "tradition", when the end of a year rolls round, to look back on the year with your "Best Nine". That's usually done with an app which works out and groups together your nine Instagram or Facebook images which had the highest likes and engagement.

But I think that social media engagement is a pants way to measure your life.*

At the end of 2018 I created my own top nine. It was rewarding to take the time, look back, and make my own choices about what counts as "best" for me. I've done the same for 2019, and hope you get inspired to take a few minutes to do the same.

When it comes to gift wrapping, there are lots of cute, quirky and contemporary ideas out there, but let's be honest, it can be a bit of a faff lino printing your own paper, or painstakingly curling ribbons.

If you fancy adding a little handmade touch to your gift wrapping, but not to the whole gift list, here's a simple and fun way to present small presents.

It's also a great use for leftover wrapping paper, instead of buying expensive gift bags!

Are you braced for Christmas?

It can be stressful for some people, or just something they want to get over and done as quickly as possible. We're told to be merry and bright, but really might not be feeling it.

Here's hoping that you can create a bit of what you need over the next few weeks, be it peace and quiet to realign yourself, or buzz and hum to renergise.

I'm taking a break from processing orders for a week ish, but the shop will still be open, so you can pop things through, and I'll get them to you in the new year!
