A Quick Studio Tour!

I'm almost pretty much done and happy with my studio, it's wee, but cleverly set up so everything I need is stashed away yet also easy to grab from my desk.

I'll be going into more details soon about what's in here, why and how it works for me, but meanwhile enjoy a brief wizz round by video. (Incidentally, you can find and follow my brand spanking new youtube channel here.)

Paper and gift wrap storage solution!

Bit by bit my creative space is getting more organised and easier to use (also less worrisome to leave the cats in when I go to make a brew...)

My stash of wrapping paper, wallpaper off-cuts and other decorative papers were rammed loosely into a cardboard box, getting ripped and damaged, so a solution was needed!

Cut up toilet roll tubes.
Roll paper and pop into a tube section.
Pop into a colourful or decorative bucket or bin to keep upright and tidy.

Meet the new staff member...

I have a loyal team here. They keep me company, but make sure I leave my desk to stretch my legs. They also remind me when I leave a half finished drink around, vitally stop paper blowing away, and quality test things by sitting on them or patting them onto the floor.

Yup, like many creative folks, my "staff "are the pets. I introduced you a while ago to Theramin, Shade and Londo here.

Now, we also have a Marco!
