Inktober is a fantastic creative opportunity, and I've created a simple way for anyone to join in on a manageable scale, with 31 little doodle boxes on just one sheet of A4 paper! Download, print, and get drawing - landscape or portrait - a little bit of creativity each day. The brainchild of artist Jake Parker, the idea is that every day in October, you complete one drawing in ink (or digital ink) and show it to someone. Doesn't matter how good you are or aren't at art, hopefully by drawing more you'll enjoy the process more, and might even get a little more confident in your skills. You can decide that every day is too much, and do every other day, once a week... Set your own goals! It's about you trying something new, or perhaps returning to something you enjoy but have let lapse. For a few years Jake's provided creative prompts, to make staring at a blank page a little less intimidating. 2019's prompts are included on my sheets, so you have everything you need in once place. Last year when I started thinking about the prompts, I realised that my sheets look like little comic strip boxes, so I filled each row in as a series - Above are my entries for Drooling, Exhausted, Star, Precious and Flowing, all in one witch's familiar filled kitchen. Even if you only show your partner, or mum, or one mate, even if you only draw once a week, or drop out after 11 days, give Inktober a go, and express yourself. Download the PDFs or JPEGs below, and please do comment below if you're taking part, or link to where you'll be sharing online - I'd love to drop by and cheer you on! (No pressure to share publicly by the by, find your own audience! I'll be sharing at https://www.instagram.com/perfidiousma/) The downloads!

This looks amazing, I totally failed the first time I tried and that kinda scared me off I think, but I love the idea of making little comics as that means I'll feel like I need to keep going to tell a story of some kind. I'll message you my IG as I don't want everyone to know in case I bomb out again!

I'll give you a follow - and no pressure, do what feels comfortable! I know a few folks who began daily, then dropped to every other day, so it was less stress and more fun.

Hi Jenny! I've seen some great advice this year about expecting the dip, and knowing that you'll hit a low point, which hopefully means you can be ready for it, and either adapt your plans to make it work for you, or keep forging on with a drawing a day and break back through to the fun place.
