Are you with me on this? It isn't about having lots of earrings, oh no. It's about browsing your collection, and knowing that your earrings will be the cherry on the cake of your day. Your earrings will say a bit about you as a person, your mood, the image you want to project for a few hours - they may even change your mood! I've noticed at mates' houses and getting ready to go out, that those who love earrings come in a couple of types. So what kind of earring fan are you? Your earring collection is: Tried and Tested. Lots of variation on a theme, because you know the styles you like. Perhaps different colours, details, sizes, but all the same basic idea! Butterfly. You have a plethora of shapes, designs, styles... studs, dangly ones, colourful , classic ...and all get their turn as your perfect pair. You find earrings by: Hunting. A carefully selected collection, added to with satisfaction when the perfect pair of earrings present themselves or are sought out; each set having their own place in your mental wardrobe. Gathering. Your earrings are wildly selected, a collection born mainly of chance, picked up perhaps to be worn only a few times - perfect for that season or current look, or eventually becoming a staple. And your collection is: Expanding. They may not have been worn in years, but that pair will be needed again! And well, until then, they can go in the box... Pruned. Out of fashion, never really worn, or just eventually out of favour, you're ruthless in getting rid of earrings. it makes space for more... | My earrings! |
I love earrings. So do you have a butterfly earring collection, gathered on a whim, but often pruned to stop it getting out of hand? Or perhaps you're tried and tested, hunting perfect earrings, but with more than you should probably, sensibly, really own? I'd love to know, or even see a piccy of your collection!
