Three things you can try out - at home!

Strange times at the moment, and I confess, I haven't had the brainpower to create a new blog post.

"But Lisa!" you say "This is a blog post!"

Yes, this is a little round up of three things you can try at home while social distancing, locked down, or just on a quiet weekend! It's little list as right now I don't even have the wherewithal to go looking around at creative ideas other folks are suggesting - So try these ideas from some of my previous blog posts! 

Easy peasy DIY origami paper gift bag

Make your own little gift bags with just paper, scissors, and a stapler or glue i(f you want to add a handle.) Only a couple of folds, and  you have a bag ready to decorate, and use for Easter Eggs, small gifts, or Stocking Fillers. Perfect for recycling, i's a great use for leftover wrapping paper, instead of buying expensive gift bags!

Hidden messages in colour!

Artist Bernadette Sheridan has grapheme-colour synesthesia, and has created an online tool where you can enter your name, and it generates an image showing how she "sees" your name in colour. I used it to create a necklace of "Perfidious", but it could be great for artwork ideas, sewing projects or even, can you dress in the colours of your name?

Home made tea flavoured Gin

Not one for the kids to play with, but great fun to try if you're interested in discovering a new drink! All you need are gin, whatever your favourite tea is and a sieve or strainer, and within a couple of hours you have a new combination to try out. My go to is Earl Grey, but this could be a delight with others.
