Mari Lwyd art auction for charity

If you aren't aware of the Welsh tradition of rocking around your neighbourhood, demanding food and drink from people by knocking on their door while hidden under a sheet and toting a ribbon deked horse skull , wait, it gets better... and you can own one and raise money for charity!

The Mari Lwyd is a hobby horse accompanied by a mob of mates, who around Christmas time visit their neighbours and demand entry through singing. Tradition dictates the homeowner rhyme back at them a refusal, and lo, you're in a rap battle with a dead horse.

Artist Kelda works as Skulls and Sheets, and holds an annual art auction, raising money for different domestic violence charities, and this year I'm joining in!

A whole gallery of postcard size art which have been submitted by talented people will gradually be available on Ebay on December 1st, just a few examples are below.
