You probably know that my creative space is my studio in my own home, and I count myself very lucky to have that room to devote to my small business and also my own hobbies. Not everyone can have a devoted space at home, but that shouldn't stop you indulging in hobbies, as there are such a wide range of ways to engage your brain, relax, try new skills, or even get fitter and healthier, and you can usually tailor those to the space you have - be it a room, the kitchen table, or even your lap when sitting on the sofa. My husband, although not a 'look at me' person, is a Very Big Dr Who fan, so dug out an old jacket and gloves to be The Master, and I pulled a Sarah Jane outfit together from a market and charity shops . We arrived to find the majority were in civvies, but gradually there were folks from 20's to late 50+ pottering about in various degrees of Dr Who costume (and a few kids too!). ... gradually there were folks from 20's to late 50+ pottering about in various degrees of Dr Who costume (and a few kids too!) |
