You're never too old for Cosplay

Can I get a virtual hurrah from all the folks who believe you are never too old for dress up or Cosplay? This isn't jewellery or small business related, but it is creative, and I want to share this here as I have a bit of a platform, to encourage - do what brings you joy.

I'm 41, and a recent day out confirmed that I don't plan to stop any time soon!

Cosplay is a type of fancy dress where you choose to dress as a specific identifiable character, rather than a general archetype.

Cosplay often involves great attention to details in costume and props, and may include posing or acting 'in character' for photos or interactions.

I've been thinking about this over a few weeks since I was at a Dr Who event in Aldbourne. My husband, although not a 'look at me' person, is a Very Big Dr Who fan, so dug out an old jacket and gloves to be The Master, and I pulled a Sarah Jane outfit together from a market and charity shops . We arrived to find the majority were in civvies, but gradually there were folks from 20's to late 50+ pottering about in various degrees of Dr Who costume (and a few kids too!).

February is a time of year to grab joy, and for me part of that is hurrah, another year of Perfidious Jewellery having brought joy to folks!

PJ has been in my life in some form for many years, but starting to sell online was a big move, so that's what I celebrate on February 16th. Last year I ran a little celebratory give away, and shared a few lessons learnt and some fun facts, you can check those out here. This year I asked you all how you'd like to celebrate, and the overwhelming response was for me to just eat cake and not worry about special offers or promotions.

Which left me feeling a bit mixed.

A small bit of fun, or art (or both) that you can add to your outfit, hat, bag, wherever you please, and also handy little gifts which are easy to pop in the post (or hello Secret Santa solution!)
