So over 2015, here is how you have kept me busy, and supported me with the year's...
Many of you have bought my pins for your weddings, and they've been worn by grooms, ushers and best men as far away as Helsinki and San Francisco!
It's flattering when people like my work, but jaw dropping when people want it as part of their big day, and choose my makes for something to keep and cherish after the wedding. One unusual good idea has gone well beyond my expectations!
Making and mental health. My mumsy passed away early 2015, and it was only later I appreciated how much being creative helped (and is still helping) me get through this loss.
As I shared with you her studio, making art from her unfinished work and how she inspired me, you shared your support and your own stories with me. Being crafty helped me touch her again, while stepping forwards, and it's reassuring to know some of you have used arts the same way.
Embrace your craft community! I've made more effort to reach out to those of you who also make, design and craft, and wow! The Nottingham etsy team particularly have been a powerhouse of ideas, support, advice and more.
If you can't find a group of the right folks, with the right focus, go and flipping make one. Be cheeky and ask for a cuppa and cake with some folks you are inspired by, to see what you can learn from each other. I need to make more face to face time for the creative folks near me in 2016!
